物化性质: 本品系白色粉末或凝胶状结晶。无吸湿性，味苦，微溶于水及热乙醇，不熔于冷乙醇和碱。能够被硫酸等强酸分解成三氟化硼。能与碱金属、碳酸盐熔融生成生成氟化物和硼酸盐。熔融时开始分解，有毒。

产品用途: 用作热固性树脂磨轮的磨料，铝镁浇注生产含硼合金的原料，热焊和铜焊的助熔剂，制备三氟化硼和其他氟盐的原料，电化学合成的分析试剂等。此外还用于低铬酸镀铬及铅锡合金电解液中以及熔接和熔合银、金、不锈钢等。
